He remembers this elevator and asked me to film it! It’s sad, but this store is now the A&P. At the end of the video, and employee saw me come out of the elevator, and simply said “What’s up!” I was flabbergasted! Sorry about the shaky camera. This is the Schindler 330A #1 at my high-school in New Rochelle, NY that serves the bridge to the new wing, the second floor of the old wing and the outside area, which is the ground level. (Level 1 in both wings.) I am pissed off because I found out that these elevators had low-pitched chimes. Too bad I wasn’t here in time. Sorry! Anyway, notice how the cab chimes are silenced, and how it went into a silent nudge mode. This elevator is usually locked, since it leads outside the building. However, sometimes after school, it is left open for the janitors so they have easy access. This elevator is also a death-trap, since it broke down twice in 3 monthes. It does however, provide a very pleasant ride, and is relatively quiet and quick at leveling. Technical Specs: Brand- Schindler Type- 330A Inground Hydraulic Fixtures- HT Premium, Former Low-Pitched, Now Upgraded Capacity- 4500 lbs. Speed- 150 FPM Installed- 2001-2002
